Welcome

Sawubona, Dumela, Molo, Thobela, Ndaa/Aa, Avuxeni and Hello

Greetings from a warm and most beautiful South Africa – the heartland of Africa and the mecca of ubuntu. Ubuntu reflects the belief that a person is a person through other people.

In the words of Nelson Mandela:

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
It always seems impossible until it’s done.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

The above words embody the soul of our hearts, and reflect how fundamental education is in bringing about change in the world and that through education and your courage to learn new things much can be achieved. In other words, nothing is impossible provided you educate yourselves!

The University of Johannesburg will be hosting the 6th Global Congress for Qualitative Health Research (QHR) in March 2018.
